· Developed, implemented, and maintained strategic technology vision for the global enterprise.
· Aligned technology implementations to meet business requirements. Created Strategic Business Units (SBU’s) to define and streamline product lines, align business and engineering development tracks with marketing requirements, and focus our various services into productized units that helped increase sales by over 36%.
· Created and implemented new IT strategies to maximize uptime for our production environment. Duties also included managing the P&L, overseeing all IT personnel within the IT, IS, QA, and Hosting departments, and mapping out the IT strategy and goals for the corporation. Assets under my direction consisted of over 2,500 servers, 1,200 units of network hardware, and 3,500 desktops. Twenty-six direct reports, with 87 indirect reports.
· Created the Security Architecture and Strategy for the entire organization. I created, built, and instituted an entirely new security standards implementation for our organization. This included addressing all national and international regulatory guidelines, industry standard guidelines, and infrastructure security guidelines.
· Created new PMO (Project/Program Management Office) that I still lead. Instituted a process change that included funneling all projects through the PMO to ensure consistency in process, procedures, and strategy across our entire Project Portfolio. Certify Project Management Office and Change Management procedures quarterly for Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
· Consolidated numerous data centers and independently hosted environments into centralized Thomson Financial data centers. This consolidation included the build-out of entirely new centralized Tier 3 Data Centers that now house more than 40% of the infrastructure for the NYSE, and where over $20BB of transactions are completed daily. This reduced data center operating costs by over 60%.
· Increased client base 18%, annually, through managed marketing plans and organic growth. Reduced legal exposure 50% by standardizing services, procedures, and products. Reduced costs 35% by negotiating vendor contracts and initiating performance standards.
· Integrated 5 separate business units into a centralized change management process based on ITIL Processes. Developed and Lead Team Building workshops for Enterprise IT Directors. Built strategic alignments between Corporate IT and the 5 Operating Company IT departments.
· Created a new BCRS that included the implementation of a “hot-site” for our production environment, and the creation of a new set of IT policies. Reduced Applications Development defects by 87% within 12 months. Reduced Priority 1 instances by 80% through the use of metrics and weekly reporting.
· Head of the Acquisition and Integration team that made all acquisition assessments, created implementation strategies, and submitted all proposals for new acquisitions to the C-Level Executives. This consisted of performing detailed top-down reviews of potential companies that would enhance NETg’s product and service portfolios and make significant impact to the revenue streams, and the bottom line.
· Implemented global IT support strategies that increased levels of support for all locations to 24/7. I accomplished this by utilizing various Operations Centers around the world to handle customer issues in varying time-zones. This dramatically improved our incident response and resolution times by 60%, and helped increase productivity by providing users with faster and easier access to solutions for their problems.
· Implemented cost-cutting measures that included renegotiating all major IT contracts, implementing new technologies to perform financial and personnel intensive tasks, and implemented a bottom-up IT expenditures audit; Combined, this resulted in a 45% reduction in IT expenditures for FY 04’.

· Managed the largest SMS implementation in the world for KFNA with over 30K users within their AD environment, and did so ahead of schedule which resulted in a savings of $1.2M
· Created new security guidelines for worldwide implementation for both Kraft and Altria.

· Managed 67% of the area Professional Services staff comprised of engineers and IT specialists. Reviewed budgeting, P&L, revenue status, and numerous financial aspects of the organization in the mid-west. Implement strict monitoring of monthly revenue and expenditures, and participate in cost containment, revenue enhancement, and strategic planning that helped the company save over $1.2 million per quarter for 6 straight quarters. · Lead Security Architect for Cyber Attack Tiger Team (CATT), working closely with Global customers to conduct intrusive and non-intrusive security scans across their Enterprise. The CATT team conducted audits on many of the Fortune 100 companies, and presented detailed reports to the CIO’s, CISO’s, and CTO, within those organizations.

Turned BestBuy.Com around from being out of the list of top 200 ECommerce sites in the world in 1999, to becoming one of the top 3 ECommerce sites in 2000.
· Oversaw more than 500,000 square feet of data center migrations. Trained and managed over eight project managers in three different locations within Chicago-land.
· Turned and maintained profitability for both data centers in Chicago. Increased post-sales by 20% each quarter (since 1999). Maintained average forecast of over $500,000/month in Chicago region. Completed and maintained departmental SAS-70 (ISO 9001) compliancy since 2000 for crisis management.
